  Spreading your own poop on weeds to keep them from growing, but without killing them, doesn't actually strike me as "surprisingly human-like".

    Humans done that before artificial fertilizants - to make stuff grow. Concept is the same.

    People compose and mulch their waste to control weeds regularly. Burying weeds under decaying master (including poop) is super common.
