Has Meta ever provided Qualcomm EDL files for recovery?

I thought I'd ask here, considering people here might be more knowledgeable about it. Quest VR headsets for example are notoriously lacking in recovery options. They also have an EDL mode, specifically 9008, baked in the Qualcomm SoC, but as you need a specific "Firehose" file to set it up, and Meta never provided it, many people who end up with botched updates or issues with their headsets, and can only boot in this mode seem SoL.

Would anybody here have info on what to do about it? A lot of these are out of warranty, or even completely unsupported like the Quest 1, so Meta themselves wouldn't even service them anymore. Thanks!
